Coaching helps teachers get a clear picture of current reality, identify goals, pick teaching strategies to meet the goals, monitor progress, and problem solve until the goals are met.
To put it simply… instructional coaching makes it easier for teachers to meet the needs of their students.
As your partner, I will provide one-on-one support and coaching to teachers
based on their specific needs and goals. This might involve assisting
the learning of new technology, offering feedback on instructional
practices, or providing resources and strategies to address
classroom challenges. >> One-on-one support will include a
personalized plan for your professional development.
... facilitate coaching cycles. This begins with a pre-conference
to determine what you are wanting or needing to work on.
During the pre-conference, I expect to help you create an area
of focus and set a goal(s). We can spend time collaborating on a
lesson, learn a new strategy edtech tool, or whatever you'd like to
include as part of your next step. The next step(s) will be to observe
you 'in action'. During the observation, you can expect me to take notes
specific to your area of focus. After the observation, you will have a post-conference to reflect, together - discuss the data collected and the next steps to take. In addition.
I expect to extend my support of your goals by offering resources and further support so you can continue to work towards your goal(s).
