Peer Observation

What It's All About

Peer observations are a chance to step into each other’s classrooms—not to evaluate, but to learn, reflect, and grow. Whether you’re looking to try something new, spark fresh ideas, or simply get inspired, observing a colleague can be one of the most valuable forms of professional learning.

What To Expect

Here’s what peer observations are not:

  • Not evaluative

  • Not formal

  • Not about perfection

Here’s what they are:

  • Voluntary and teacher-led

  • Focused on learning, not judging

  • A great opportunity to reflect on your own practice

  • A quick pre-observation chat (5–10 mins)

  • A short visit (10–30 mins)

  • A casual reflection afterward (in-person or even a quick email)
